I’m really interested in biology, and specifically in how people influence wildlife in towns and cities, so I’d make the practical classes I want to design themed around that.
I recently did some work about how squirrels use bird feeders and one practical would look at how squirrels reduce the amount of time that small birds spend on bird feeders… students could make their own bird feeders (using used plastic bottles and bird seed) and use camera traps (or just watch the feeders for a bit!) to look at who is feeding on them. They could then look to see how their results compare to the results that I got in my research.
