Love this question because it’s actually quite difficult to answer. Science often happens in very small steps and often it doesn’t feel like you’ve made a massive discovery! The most important thing I have discovered so far is the impact that domestic cats are having on wildlife. There are over 10million pet cats in the UK alone, and they are mini super predators, killing 180 million animals a year. Cats make such great pets, but there are ways to reduce their impact, and my research findings are being used to make differences in how people look after their pets.

Al l the research that we do is important whether it is a huge discovery or a small part of the puzzle. The most importanat thing that I have discovered is how to communicate effectively and make other people change the way that they think so that they will chsnge their actions or behaviour. Education is a huge part of solving the problems that we have with the environment.
