      I don’t think fast food chains are the only ones to put fat down the sink–many food businesses are responsible for this. In the absence of better education being the solution, the water companies that have to clear ‘fatburgs’ from sewage systems might choose to charge businesses a ‘fat tax’ when they are found to improperly dispose of fat down the sink. There are also options to recycle the fat into energy.
