Both – I work alone often, but not always! It depends on the problem at hand.

I spend a lot of time ‘working alone’ in my office, but most of my research means that I’m working in a team even though we are not working side by side all of the time. I work much better when I have other people to drive me, or to help me develop ideas, so I usually prefer working in a team. Working with animals can also be very difficult, so working in a team means you get loads more done!

I work as a team and on my own. I enjoy them both!

I always work as part of a team, somebody has to check what I am up to isn’t silly. On big projects, there are lots of people designing different parts so we have to make sure it all works together.
