Most people pursue a career in science because they love learning, they are curious and often enjoy a very flexible work life. Having said that, it is VERY easy to allow this passion to consume all your spare time. It is both a blessing and a curse to love what you do, as it’s hard to stop–but you must, as it’s healthy to take breaks and also good for your science. People think more clearly after a good break. Easier said than done 🙂

For me it does, projects have to be completed on schedule when there are people waiting to start building so there have been lots of long days. However I get paid for the extra work I do which is nice.
