I have worked with many important scientists who have specialised in air pollution and understanding of the health impacts over the years, however as with many area of science we do not become famous or well known for the work that we do to anyone outside our field of research so it is highly unlikley that you would have heard of any of them.

Every scientist I’ve worked with has done something important – be it to share their knowledge through teaching or make important discoveries in their fields! Though I doubt you’d have ever come across any of them because they don’t tend to go outside of their scientific circles.

Any scientist I work with is important–but I think I know what you mean. Are there scientists that are ‘rock stars’ who I’ve worked with? Yes, but I’m quite certain you wouldn’t know who they are as they are only rock stars within my own world of science–not Richard Dawkins-like rock star.
