That is a really good question and obviously very important in construction. Construction sites are of course extremely dangerous.

We carry out what we call a “Health and Safety Risk Assessment” before we go onto any site even ones which haven’t ever been developed. Even greenfield sites can be dangerous if for example there is water on site or if there is boggy ground.

We look at any information we have for that site and determine whether we need to put any special measures in place before we go on site. If its too dangerous we don’t go.

These risk assessments are one of the most important and fundamental things we do in our work to ensure everyone’s safety both before, during and after construction.
