You need to train your brain to think, I know that sounds funny but you need to be able to understand complex problems and find new ways to solve them. Not every solution you think of will work but testing them in the best way and recording your results still adds to our understanding and thats still real science. You train yoru brain to think but working hard at school then going onto university so you can find out what kind of science you want to do.
