Take children to amazing places and let them see what a truely fantastic planet they live in so that they want to do something to look after it and protect it from being damaged

That’s like asking me what the best thing about eating chocolate cake…that IS the best thing! A future scientist might mean our world is just a wee bit better off for it! And if we’re really lucky, it’s a whole lot better!

It is the crazy questions they ask me or the creative ideas they come up with.

Inspiring kids about science makes me really think about my own research and why it’s important (which is always a helpful thing to remind myself about!). It’s also really fun and a massive investment in our future…. you guys are going to be the ones doing all the cool science in the future!

It’s seeing that light bulb moment, when a child suddenly understands something they didn’t! It’s really rewarding to see that. Children are the future of the world, and its hope. It’s great seeing children get inspired to consider science as a career!
