Everyone can make a difference when it comes to climate change and the easiest things are in making small changes in your own behaviour. Food is an important thing to think about (going meat free one day a week can have a big impact, as can eating more seasonal food so that you reduce the miles your food has travelled to your plate!). Then thinking about how you travel about, reducing car trips and walking more, or using public transport is a really great thing to do. Sometimes climate change feels like a problem that’s too big for an individual to tackle, but if we all did small things it would make a huge difference.

Your own personal contribution at home is not going to make a difference unless you get your neighbours and friends and, more importantly, politicians to change their ways. Climate change requires the coordinated activity of everyone to make a difference. Keep doing the right thing, but if you’re the only one doing the right thing, we are stuffed.

We need to change the way we behave. Making personal small changes like replacing shorter journeys by car with walking or cycling can make a big difference.
