• Question: What is your most memorable experience and what did it involve?

      Tough one! Can I give a couple?! In a boat with my students on a field course, and a humpback whale breaches next to us. Probably also my first time giving a lecture… I was so scared (but it gets much easier!!).

      Several years ago I was travelling around Australia and spent some time in northern Queensland. Here you can walk in the tropical rainforest, pass through the mangrove swams and straight into the ocean with the barrier reef – three unique ecosystems all connected to each other with their own amazing animals!
