Question: What made you change your mind from being an explorer to a Senior Air Quality Analyst?

Unfortuantely there aren’t really many job oppurtunities for ‘explorers’ these days… the Victorians lived in a far more exciting age as we really knew very little about the word back then and suddenly they decided to explore everywhere!

You may have seen the advertisement which a famous explorer, Ernest Shackleton, ran in the newspaper to try to recruit men for his 1915 Endurance expedition:

Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success.
