• Question: why do you love wildlife ?

      I guess I love wildlife because it’s all around us all the time. You can just look out of your window, or step into your garden as see something of interest. You can also ask so many different types of questions… why do blackbirds eat worms and not grass, why do robins attack other robins, how do house sparrows manage to raise so many young each year? It is also challenging… there are over 200 bird species in the UK… but many are very common so it helps to start there and build up. I’m still learning all the time (my plant identification skills need a lot of improvement), and the wildlife around me always surprises me!
