When I left university I didn’t know exactly which area of science I would specialise in but I knew that I wanted to do something with the environment then I got a job researching air quality and have really enjoyed it so far…

Data science is really broad, which allows me to get involved in all sorts of projects!

I was always interested in wildlife and conservation and so specialised in this during my degree and I just kept going with it. I now get to choose what area to work in so I can do research that I really care about.

It was a bit of luck that I got involved in a project about cycling and people realised how much I loved cycling. You do one project and three more come along then you end up as an expert. I have done a lot of studying outside of work related to cycling which has helped me do what I love.
