      They would – falling objects have a property called “gravity”, which pulls them towards the middle of the earth (why everything falls downwards). This gravity pulls all objects (regardless of size) by the same amount, which means everything hits the ground at the same time. A famous experiment by Galileo proved this, in which he dropped two balls of different weight off the tower. They both hit the ground at the same time! You can test this yourself at home – try dropping two different objects (e.g. a pen and a coin) at the same time from the same height. You’ll notice they both hit the ground at the same time!
